Helpful information before you make a claim

  • At all times, consider the safety of yourself and others
  • If someone has been injured or roads are blocked, call 111.
  • If you need an urgent tow, please phone a local tow company
  • If animals are involved and you can’t find the owner, call the local SPCA.

Helpful information before you make a claim

If your business been damaged, do whatever you need to do to secure the premises and make it safe and comfortable for your employees.  Please take photos and keep receipts.

The sooner you contact us, the sooner we can help. For example, we may be able to arrange quicker repairs or have an Assessor appointed.

Do what you can to prevent further damage - like boarding up windows or removing water damaged property.  For water damage, turn your water off at the mains and call a plumber immediately. 

Try not to throw anything away, but if you have to, take photographs first.

  • Call the police. They’ll give you an incident reference number 

  • Simply say you need to speak to your insurer.

  • In Store Computer Records, Invoices, Receipts, photos, valuations, serial numbers, any other information such as warranties.
  • Repair report from Qualified Repairer e.g. Computer, Phone Technican/Builder or Plumber for report into cause of damage and if repairable
